Day Creek Forest Planting
February 10, 2013
Nearly 30 people - staff, volunteers, members, Washington Conservation Corp., and school groups came out to help plant about 700 trees and shrubs.  Quite a nice early February day!  A joint venture between the Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group and the Skagit Land Trust.

This is Skagit Land Trust property known as Day Creek Forest - once known as the Edelson property.  It is about 80 acres used for years by a family group for summer enjoyment.

Several large clearings are being replanted.
There are shrubs and conifers - all bare root stock.  Even some of the holes are pre-drilled!
